How to Install and Run Action
Watch along below as I show you where to download the action, how to install it, and how to run it. You can see the results for yourself at the end.
Where to Get this Action
You can get this action here.
However, you will need an Adobe Creative Cloud account. This action is part of the CC suite (in the Photoshop actions) and is free to use as part of your membership.

If you don’t have a CC account, you won’t be able to use this action.
In my research, I have found several ‘cartoon yourself’ actions online. There are other options available to you, but the quality of the actions will differ. Also, double-check the license to fully understand what you are and aren’t entitled to do with the end illustration.
Before and After Comparison
For my tutorial, I used a model photo from Freepik. So below is the original image I opened in Photoshop, without any changes made.

And here is the image after applying the Toon Artist action. Remember, everything is fully customizable in the layers panel. So you will be able to duplicate or remove layers, change colors, and make lots of other changes.

Finally, here are the two photos side by side.

There are so, so many cool Photoshop actions out there. It amazes me how many creative minds have put their multi-step effects and workflows together into simple one-click actions.
I hope you have a lot of fun with this cartoon effect. Yes, won’t be able to deviate too much from the visual style, but considering this action is so easy and quick to use, it’s incredible how many effects and layers go into the effect.
